Spring project

I decided not to take any spring courses this year -- mostly because I'll be away for two weeks in Scotland!  I leave Thursday and will report on that later.  Instead I want to practice what I learned in painting class.  By accident I found something that really works for me -- to do the first value work from a thumbnail print.  I want to rework the failed painting I did and see if I can improve it.  Here are the relative sizes of the photos and the 18" x 18" painting (with Toby for added reference).
